THE KING HAMAD GLOBAL CENTRE
FOR PEACEFUL CO-EXISTENCE
“The King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful CoExistence" is a natural progression following on from The Kingdom of Bahrain Declaration and The King Hamad Chair in Inter-Faith Dialogue and Peaceful Co-existence.
The King Hamad Global Centre is the world's leading meeting place for all important Dialogues, Conferences and Events related to religious freedom, interfaith-dialogue and peaceful co-existence as a means to combat terrorism, extremism, violence and hate, as we strive to share our message of mutual respect and love, bringing peace, harmony and unity amongst all Faiths.
The King Hamad Global Centre for Peaceful Co-existence will include a Museum to showcase The Kingdom of Bahrain's centuries old rich legacy of religious freedom and peaceful–coexistence.
The Kingdom of Bahrain is home to hundreds of Mosques, Churches of all denominations, and many Hindu, Sikh and Buddhist Temples and Synagogues that serve the needs of the country’s multicultural multi-faith populace.
Currently, the construction of the Our Lady of Arabia Cathedral the largest Church ever built on the Arabian Peninsula, is taking place on land donated by His Majesty The King, and will be housed alongside a new Mosque, clear evidence of the Kingdom of Bahrain’s willingness to retain and expand her position as the regions leading light for religious freedom and peaceful co-existence.
